Girls' Weekend

I got to go somewhere I've never been before! This weekend, I went away with Terri and her friends. If you watched CBC between 1972-1990, you might be able to guess where we went...

As you can see, we had lots of sun this weekend. We explored around town, ate at a great little cafe - The Black Bean Roasting Co., hiked, walked on the beach, and relaxed in the cabin - Eagle Ridge Retreat. (We stayed in the lower cottage.)

We stopped in at a great little store - Gaia's Fair Trade. I had a lot of fun looking around here and Terri got us some prayer flags to hang up. There are trees along the street that the stores "adopt". They have little gardens around them that the stores can do some fun stuff with. Gaia's had the most interesting garden plot.

Terri brought her friend Tanya along with us. They don't get to see each other very often, so the two of them had a great time hanging out. Tanya taught Terri how to knit this weekend. Terri says she is knitting me a blanket. I can't wait!

I learned something this weekend... Cut tulips will keep growing! It's true! We measured the tulips twice a day and they DID grow! Honest!!

It's always fun with Terri's friends! I'm so lucky to be invited along all the time.

Run hard, be strong, have fun.
